The formation and development of pores in porous systems during drying processes are attributed to multiple adjoining and competitive mechanisms. This project seeks to develop computational models that can capture these mechanisms and can be used to reliably describe a variety of formulations and dryers, relating the final pore structure to formulation properties and process variables.
