The applicant and the hosts have previously worked on various aspects of time integration methods for
differential and integral equations. This proposal includes two parts: Part I of the proposal is devoted to derive
and analyse new time-stepping schemes based on barycentric rational interpolants. The main goal for the
first project of this part is to construct and implement an efficient adaptive solver for stiff ordinary differential
equations (ODEs).
