The project aims to develop an advanced methodology for structuring metallic surfaces for biomedical applications, based on optical interference and self-organization effects generated by femtosecond laser pulses at reduced wavelengths. The main objective is to produce laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) with dimensions below 500 nm on innovative metallic alloys (Ta-Nb-Ti), with the goal of achieving a passive antibacterial effect. The project is based on an interdisciplinary experimental approach.
