Multiparticle systems with complex interactions (MSCI)

The project is a collaboration with scientists at the Institute of Solid State Physics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest. It focuses on the investigation of complex fluids such as granular materials, suspensions and emulsions, to characterize their rheological properties and phenomena related to flow in different geometries. One of the main research topics is the study of soft and hard granular particles under shear. Experimental methods involve optical and X-ray tomographic experiments and numerical simulations.
