SFB TRR 102 "Polymere unter Zwangsbedingungen: eingeschränkte und kontrollierte molekulare Ordnung und Beweglichkeit", Teilprojekt A12: "Assemblierung von PTH/Polymer Hybridmolekülen"

The molecular ordering of reversibly aggregating parathyroid hormone conjugated to synthetic polymers will be investigated. Amyloid assembly will be modulated by the switchable polymer upon external stimuli including temperature, solvent and light. Both, the protein and polymer entity will influence the properties of the hybrid partner allowing conformational studies and mechanistic insights into the assembly mechanism. These hybrid molecules harbor a wealth of physic-chemical properties, which we aim to understand based on fundamental principles.
