Enhancement of heat and mass transfer in low temperature drying of slurry droplets

This project aims to develop advanced models to predict the drying characteristics of single slurry droplets in the presence of soluble gases at low temperature and atmospheric pressure. The models will account for internal and external heat and mass transfer as well as species transport, both in the gas phase and inside the droplet and porous particle. To assess the model predictions, several sets of single slurry droplet experiments under various well-controlled process conditions will be carried out.
