The politics of aviation transport - investigating the take-off and crash of aviation taxes in EU-member states

Investigating the politics of aviation taxes in the Netherlands and Germany, this contribution sheds light on questions like why certain sustainability policies get implemented in the first place, and under which conditions they are able to persist in the second. Applying the heuristic of the PIDA (Political Process Inherent Dynamics Approach) we investigate common factors of the political process but also the characteristics of the policy itself.
