Illustration Watermarking for Digital Images: An Investigation of Hierarchical Signal Inheritances for Nested Object-based Embedding
The overall objective of the project is to advance the basic research in object-based annotation watermarking to address the problem for Nested Object-based Embedding. Annotations of certain objects within a digital image is a difficult task since each watermarked object could be a hierarchical composition of further objects to be annotated, too. Therefore it is necessary that each annotation does not interfere with any other annotation within the image and furthermore, it is also desirable that the relationship between annotations can directly be expressed by the structure of the different watermarks. For example, the annotation watermark itself reflects if it is part of another annotation and, if so, of which annotation. Application areas are for example in the field of digital image archives or computer human interaction support.
