Finanzierung:
Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung ;
The main objective of this project is to conduct a comparative analysis of scientific knowledge transfer processes under two regional institutional frameworks in tropical countries (Cameroon, Gabon, CAR, Indonesia and Vietnam). The project focuses on the influence of local, national, and global governance of sectoral ministries on knowledge transfer schemes. The aim is to deliver a prospective analysis of the role and contribution of scientific knowledge transfer for the success of global initiatives like REDD+, FIP, FLEGT, CAFI and UNREDD in tropical countries. Furthermore, the strengths and weaknesses of local governance are investigated to reveal the different bottlenecks that can inhibit the process. Main objectives are:
  1. Analysis of the scientific knowledge transfer context in Southern Asian and Central African countries.
  2. Comparison of knowledge transfer and it’s context between two regional cases
  3. Analysis of the main indicators that can accelerate or create bottlenecks for scientific knowledge transfer on environmental projects.

Analysis of the weaknesses and strengths of the REDD+ implementation against the background of the RIU model and its criteria in Cameroon, Indonesia and Vietnam.
