M.Sc. João Pedro Scherer Cipriani
Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg
Currently, I am researching the dynamics of Power Electronics within Power Systems. My goal is to evaluate, quantify, and develop methods to enhance the performance of controllers for Renewable Energy Sources implemented as Distributed Energy Resources, enabling them to deliver efficient Fast Frequency Response, Inertia, and other essential ancillary services to the future grid.Profil Service
Vita
Born in Santa Maria in 1998, João has a degree in Electrical Engineering (2019) from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) and a technical degree in Electrotechnics from the Industrial Technical College of Santa Maria (2014). During 2019, he completed his Supervised Curricular Internship at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, in the Adaptive Systems Engineering (EAS) division, located in Dresden, Germany. He completed his master's degree at UFSM's Postgraduate Program in Electrical Engineering (PPGEE), with a focus on Power Electronics, and is currently doing his doctorate at the same program, with a Sandwich Program at Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg, Germany. He has been a member of the Electrical and Computational Systems Research and Development Group (GSEC) since 2015 and is very interested in the area of Power Electronics integration with Power Systems, with an emphasis on research into smart loads, resonant converters and inertial emulated response from inverters.
