The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health released a funding opportunity soliciting applications for state, local, territorial, and tribal partnership projects designed to identify and reduce deaths among pregnant and postpartum women due to violence, such as homicide or suicide.
Applicants will be expected to:
Establish or expand programs that review, identify, and track maternal deaths due to violence.
Implement evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes and reduce deaths among pregnant and postpartum women due to violence.
Develop a sustainability plan for maintaining the program when the cooperative agreement award ends.
Applicants may be a public or private (profit or non-profit) entity, including faith-based, community-based, and Indian Tribes or Tribal organizations are eligible to apply.
