Together with partners from industry, new equipment and process solutions for fluidized bed processes are developed. They should combine continuous operation with the advantages of cylindrical vessel geometry. Moreover, operation at elevated temperatures and with strongly aggregating, nano-structured materials should be possible. The challenges are addressed by lab and pilot scale experiments, CFD computations, and fluidization process models.
