Objectives
- To determine the prevalence of cyclopia and sirenomelia in Europe through the data of the European Surveillance of Congenital Anomalies EUROCAT .
- To evaluate if the prevalence of cyclopia and sirenomelia has increased during the last decade in Europe.
- To determine if there are similar geographical patterns for cyclopia and sirenomelia distribution in Europe.
- To assess the similarities and differences in the epidemiology in Europe of sirenomelia and caudal regression and sacral agenesis (e.g. sex ratio, associated malformations or syndromes, time trend or geographical differences).
- To assess the similarities and differences in the epidemiology in Europe of Cyclops and holoprosencephaly.
