Brain Computer Interface: real time social functional imaging

The 3T and 7T MR scanners are coupled to connect directly two brains in real time. Depending on the activation, either a joint or a competetive action is performed on a virtual object in a virtual environment that is visible to both partners. It can be shown that this Hyper-Brain-Computer-Interface works well despite the hetergeneous hardware. The setting is used to investigate social processes in real time by observing directly both brain activations.
