Beantragung eines 300-kV-Kryo-Elektronenmikroskops der AG Kastritis

The installation of the 300 kV cryo-electron microscope at MLU (cryoUNITe) enables interdisciplinary imaging, accelerating academic and commercial projects. cryoUNITe, part of the MZP (https://blogs.urz.uni-halle.de/mzproteine/), aims to promote internationally competitive research and offer high-quality collaborations in line with the state's innovation strategy. The new electron microscope will particularly support the development of drugs, the optimization of antibodies, the decoding of atomic structures of smart materials, and will be used in the field of green energy. Finally, this investment also promotes the goal of improving MLU's computing and analysis infrastructures.
